Vision Heights Church
Sunday Celebration @ 10:45AM

OUR MISSION
We exist to make Jesus known through L.O.V.E.
L

Lead

We believe that one leads by example and that God has called us to live as an example of a relationship with Jesus. Just as Paul encouraged Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12 we strive to be an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
O

Outreach

Jesus commissioned the disciples in Matthew 28:19-20 to “go and make disciples of all nations…” We believe that commission extends to us and should be the very heartbeat of the church. We are intentional in reaching out to those who have not yet heard the good news.
V

Value

In such a divided culture, we believe we should value each individual just as God values them. Placing value on all peoples no matter their gender, race, color, religion, or any other preference. We are all in need of a Savior and God desires a relationship with everyone.
E

Empower

Jesus said in Acts 1:8 that we would receive power from the Holy Spirit to be witnesses. We believe that being empowered by the Holy Spirit is a gift that enables believers to be an effective witness. It is our desire that every believer receive all that God has for them.

I’m New Here
Welcome to Vision Heights!

We are glad you’re here! Here’s some things to expect in a Sunday worship service:

  • A casual but exciting worship experience that lasts a little over an hour.
  • Engaging and relevant Biblical messages.
  • Live, in person teaching from the lead pastor and special guest.
  • High energy and compelling worship music.
  • Fun teaching for your kids in VHKids.
  • Something tasty from our VHCafe. (9:30AM – 10:35AM)
Got Questions?

How Should I Dress?
Most people dress casually, but if you like to dress up thats ok too.

Will I Be Pointed Out?
We know visiting a new church for the first time can be a little intimidating and that most guest would rather stay anonymous. It’s our goal to make you feel at home here and you will never be singled out or called upon in one of our services.

Do You Pass An Offering Plate?
While we do have a time for people to partner with us through giving, please know there is no pressure to give.

What Should I Do When I Arrive?
When you arrive, follow the sidewalk to the glass door main entrance. There you will be greeted by several smiling team members. Once inside you can check in your children at VHKids or just take a left into our sanctuary and sit anywhere you would like. Don’t forget to visit our friendly team at the VHCafe, located at the rear of the Sanctuary, for something tasty.

What About My Kids?
We have a dynamic children’s ministry for grades K-5th every Sunday morning during services where they will learn about Jesus through music, games, puppets, characters and engaging sermons. We also offer a nursery for infants and children up to age 4.

How Do I Get Involved?
We have several other ministries you might be interested in checking out. From weekly life-groups and bible studies to our Ladies and Men’s Ministries. We have groups for Senior Adults and Young Adults that meet monthly.

This is where family and discipleship begin and we offer a number of life groups to get involved in during the week. Life groups center around fellowship, prayer, food,  and sharing life together. Covid-19 Update: March 18, 2020

We are making hard decisions about what to do with our upcoming activities in the wake of this situation.

We are not fearful and believe with all confidence that God will help us to overcome this epidemic. We take our families, friends and communities health very seriously and want to make sure we are doing all we can do to help keep everyone safe.

While there are no mandates that would keep us from joining together for worship, it has been strongly recommended by our goverment and officials that we limit gathering to 50 and in some cases 10. This is not just limiting churches and events but has extended to all places including restaurants and any other place people might gather. Many places in our community are making or have made changes to help prevent the spread of an outbreak.

As much as we love joining together for worship we believe wisdom dictates that we comply with what’s been asked of us where we possibly can. We know that during spring break many of our students and families traveled and there are chances some could have come in contact with the virus.

That being said, the following changes to this weeks activities and services have been made:

– All Wednesday activities have been cancelled for this week.

– The Bake Sale for Kidsfest scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed.

– Sundays Service will be Online Only

– A special Kids Church service will be livestreamed Sunday at 5PM.

We will make decisions like this week by week.

We encourage our families to bring everyone together on Sunday for the livestream. Service will include the normal activities with a few special modifications. We will have only the essential staff and volunteers to operate at the church.

We will be putting out daily family devotionals starting next week and also doing some special online activities to help keep our families connected during this time. We encourage you to pull your family together and spend time together in these devotions.

We want to remind you that although we are not having services in the building that we continue to meet our obligations to missions, missionaries, and doing outreach and your giving helps us to continue these things. We encourage you to continue honoring God in your giving of tithes and offering even during this season, as God provides. You can give online at our website, in the office Monday – Thursday, or contact the office and we will arrange to pick up tithes from those who can’t get out.

If you need anything or know of someone in need because of lack of supplies, please contact us at the office anytime @ (325) 597-0377 and we will do our best to help.

In all, remember these truths:

The People are the Church!

Fear is a liar!

God is bigger than a virus!

God gives us wisdom and discernment!

We will overcome this situation together!

God Bless You All,

Pastor Devin Taylor
